(October 29, 2024), Starkville, MS -- Dr. Gregg Twietmeyer was recently named a National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE) Fellow. This prestigious honor is bestowed by NAKHE on "acknowledged leaders in the field of kinesiology." Nominees are expected to be active in NAKHE as well demonstrate excellence in "scholarly productivity," as well as "leadership in the field of kinesiology or one’s home institution."
Dr. Twietmeyer has been a NAKHE member since 2009, has served on the Editorial Board for Quest since 2017 and was the 2015 Delphine Hanna Lecturer. Commenting on Dr. Twietmeyer's research, NAKHE Fellow #56 Dr. Doug Hochstetler explained the reach of his scholarship, "Dr. Twietmeyer's scholarship in the area of sport philosophy garners interest and readership from not only national, but also international audiences."
Dr. Twietmeyer will be inducted as a Fellow at the 2025 Annual National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE) Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 5-8, 2025.
